In Fall 2022, Chicago Public Schools engaged The Learning Collective to lead the in-person renewal visits, and report writing on those visits, of 20 of its authorized charter schools. The evaluations are one or two days in length and focus on one or more of the following three areas:
- Academics: An in depth look at the learning and teaching across a school, with a particular focus on the student experience
- Culture and Climate: A cutting-edge examination of the quality of a school’s social-emotional learning supports (SEL) of its students and staff members
- Special Education: An assessment of the effectiveness of a school’s special education program to meet the needs of its students with disabilities and their families.
