Lessons Learned from New Orleans New School Application Evaluations
For five consecutive years, The Learning Collective has conducted the third-party evaluations of all applications for new schools submitted to New Orleans Public Schools (NOLA PS). New Orleans is the only public school district in the country comprised entirely of charter schools. Here are some lessons we have learned from this important work:

Chicago Public Schools has engaged The Learning Collective to lead the in-person renewal visits, and report writing on those visits, of dozens of its authorized charter schools. The evaluations are one or two days in length and focus on one or more of the following areas:
